ISP - Dreambox - strange error?

I need your help!

Anyone ever tried this problem :


He just changed his internet provider to a wireless provider.
So I went to his house and moved the cables around.... and .. well it should just start working again shouldn't it?

Well.. no... of course not.. it didn't ...

I moved the cables back to the old ISP box and it worked again...
back to the new one... doesn't work.

I checked the Lan IP and all were the same.. so no difference there. same IPrange, same subnet etc.

I checked the dreambox via a browser both internal and from my own home ISP. I've got internet connection to the box. I downloaded some random plugin to the box, and that works fine.

everything works fine.. but his box just does not connect to mine...

What the versuck???

Any ideas.. ?

have you open ports on router
but should just work try just changing ip adress of dreambox

on my box.. the server, all is working fine, and I have other clients connecting..

It's a client box that is the problem.

i mean changing ip of client or change port 21 to 80 or 80 to 21
what isp

I can't see how changing a port on the client unit will help it connect to my box.

The ISP is Skyline here in Denmark.

I actually heard that mgcamd doesn't work through skyline but that CCCam should work...

I haven't tested though.

He's been running on an old internet line until now, but is changing over to skyline as an ISP from today...
