hi all

well, embarassing.. but I cannot for the life of me get my original canal digital card working on my dm600.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong... however I have no idea what I'm supposed to do apart from inserting the card..

should I be selecting any particular camd ?

or common interface or?

Hoping for a little help :)

card with chip down or use a certified Canal Digital module to put in CI slot.

Hi.

No I only have 1 slot on the DB and no room for a module.
I inserted the card, chip down, and nothing... :-(
Tried changing between the different cams.. nothing so far..

Am I supposed to tell the dreambox that it should read from the card?

If you use a CI module - no CS, unless it's Diablo...

On the other hand, you are saying in the other thread, that you are connecting to your card, which is in your Dream, from your AZbox HD, so.... what's up?

What are you using now, to read your card? CCcam?

I think, if you do not want to CS via internet but only via Home Network: MGcamd with NewCS as server is enough for C+ Scandinavia package.

Alternatively, NewCS with Mbox is getting better and we are now expecting Mbox v. 1.0, soon...

Am I wrong, guys?

hi gorski.

I'll try to explain .. It's not easy to understand when looking at several threads..

right...

I am, currently, testing CS. I have a Dreambox dm600 and an Azbox HD premium.
I want to setup CS between those 2.
I have a test card.. an original, which I borrowed from the inlaws. I tried to get the DM600 to read it.. also the AZbox.. but no luck.. I have no idea how, what etc. to do to make either of the boxes work. .since I've only ever used CS before.

So.. In the future, I will be using CS with 1 card from my Dm600 to the Azbox.

Right now I have a server from the outside, which I'm using to setup the connection..

so I have a server, a card & 2 boxes... all for testing the setup and making everything work..

right now I'm focused on getting CS to work between the 2 boxes using a server.

later I will try with the card since that didn't work the first time..

Does that make more sense?
