View Full Version : Help - flash gone bad?
Hi.
Well, I did a reflash, but realised that I missed some files (newcamd.conf) from my old flash, so reflashed with flashwizard.
However it hung in 'copying files' and just sat there..
I retried 2 times, but to no avail..
Now, when switched on, the unit just flashes the status leds green, red, green, red, green, red, green, red, green, red, green, red, green, red, green, red, green, red,
in a very disconcerting way..
I flashed via LAN cable.
What can I do?

Hi !
You can flash the DB600 allmost like a 7020 through the webbrowser.
Tools ?
Putty eor windows telnet
Internett explorer / Firefox
To begin start your new DB600 with the original image or other
Enter the main menu:
MENU-->SETUP-->EXPERTSETUP-->COMMUNICATION SETUP
When you know the IP adress off DB, then log in with telnet or putty.
Here give du following commands :
mount /boot -o remount,rw
and enter
rm /boot/*
and enter
reboot
and enter
Now the box (closes ), meaning it turns to bootmodus.
Now its plain forward
Type in the IP you noted on top here in the webbrowser.
This picture will apear
Now browse to the image you will put on the box, and then press FLASH.
When it is 100% turn off power and back again.
Done

Thanks to xxcard for the original
I would use this methode
hi
thanks.
I know that method already, but there is no network connection at all.
The box is not responding.
I have no rs232 cable (yet) so apart from that I don't know what to do.
I'm concerned that something more sinister happened?
Is there a guide to the different LED flashing patterns?
Hi Symbiot
Try flashing it via DreamUp and nullmodem (rs232), with no network cable plugged. Just serial. And make sure you do at least one flash erase before you flash the new image.
Regards!

Hi
Thanks, I actually just fixed it now.
I did do it with dreamup, but after giving the 'flashing image from file' or whatever, nothing else happened.
After fiddling I discovered that I was back to the green screen, and thus, I installed the gemini through my browser! Sweet...
thank for the help!
Well, glad to read this!
:tv: again :)
