Installation instructions for Drtic for Enigma2 on DM800/8000/7025



Developed on DM800 bought & sent by people from NOVISF.COM forum.
Download common installation package
Select language and click download CzechEnglishArabicBulgarianCroatianDutchFrenchGree kHungarianPolishRomanianSlovenianTurkish
Copy both files with a FTP client to /tmp on your Dreambox
Connect to your Dreambox with telnet (or putty)
Type following command: cd / && tar xzf /tmp/drtic_e2-common.tgz && tar xzf /tmp/drtic.tgz (use copy&paste if you are not sure)
Restart GUI
Enjoy Drtic



Tested on DM800 running Nabilo BH v0.10 on usb, with Nabilo PureFlash 02 may 2009 in flash. Working great.

For those not accustomed to DrTic - it's a plugin for running external subtitles over live tv broadcasts on your Dreambox - just download any .sub or .srt file, convert it to .dtc format (using jDrTic from the same site as the plugin), ftp the .dtc file to /etc/tuxbox/drtic/tit folder on your E2 dreambox and... :wow:

Will this work on a DM7020 running Gemini 4.1.0?
If so, will it work with movies that have been recorded to the 7020's hard drive?

Have tried to install and although the directory seems to have appeared under tuxbox, Its not appearing on the GUI's list of plugins....?

Thanks for that LilleMama. I will upgrade the image.

Is anyone here using this plugin with a DM7020? Reason I ask is I have only seen DM800/8000/7025 mentioned as working with it. Is it not compatible with the 7020??

Hi Borderfox!
DM7020 only runs Enigma1 based images, so you can't use the E2 version of the plugin. Don't worry though, DrTic is also available for E1, you just need to download and install the right version.

You will find DrTic v2.0 for Dreambox 7020s. Pay attention to the istallation notes, and have fun!
