Hi guys,

I hope one of you can help or have an idea what to do.
I have just gotten myself DM 800 pvr HD (and it is original) :)

When I got it, it was able to start up on the default firmwire.
I then flashed it with Gemini 4.10, which also worked just fine.

Then I build in a HDD, which I could detect and format, but I could not record on it.... the movie folder was not created.

So someone suggested I created the folder myself using telnet.
The dreambox hang during this process and I had to unplug the power.

Since that time I have not been able to get it to boot. Everytime I turn it on it stops in the STOP menu.

I have tried to flash it many times with different images (original, older gemini, experimental images and so on), always ending up in the STOP menu after reboot.

I have also tried to load factory defaults from the telnet menu you can connect to when it is in the STOP state.

Can anyone suggest what I might be able to do to get it to boot up??

Thanks in advance

Grodel

I tried with Dreamup over network, but I cant seem to get dreamup to find my dreambox.

Is it only working with the serial cable? If so I need to get one of those.

Ok... now I have tried with the serial cable, but DreamUp cant seem to find my Dreambox.

Status is: Connection prepared, now switch on the dreambox!

The dreambox is then switched on and goes to the STOP menu, but Dreamup dont find it :(

What now?

Hi friend,
Try these:
Remove the HDD and the usb flash drive (my dreambox do not displays STOP if i have connected a usb flash drive).
Enable the DHCP of the router.
Remove the power from dreambox for about 5 minutes.
connect the utp cable
press and hold the power button on dreambox
connect the power cable
if you see a message "STOP and an IP xxx.xxx...." on dreambox display open the web browser and write the ip "xxx.xxx...." of the dreambox and load an image to flash.
If it is not worked then set the dreambox IP manual with commands:
